Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque 

Sultan Qaboos grand mosque is the most renowned tourist attraction in Muscat. The Sultan Qaboos Mosque is Oman’s biggest mosque covering an area of over 416,000 m2. 

It is a beautifully build modern mosque with space for nearly 20,000 worshippers. Almost 8,000 people can fit inside, and the courtyard can hold up to 12,000 more individuals. Sultan Qaboos Mosque is also one of the few mosques in Arabia that permits visits to non-Muslims. 

The mosque is no less than a wonder for architecture. The interior perfectly clubs the Omani, Islamic, and Middle Eastern heritage. The main prayer hall 

features an extravagant chandelier, intricately designed blue tiles, and the world’s second-largest Iranian rug. The rug is a rare and unique feature of the mosque – a famous tale behind it is that it took 600 women and four years to weave. 

Mutrah Corniche 

Mutrah Corniche is one of the liveliest places in all of Muscat. Its promenade stretches slightly over three kilometers and is lined up with cafes, restaurants, and markets. The views here are breathtaking. On one side, you can see a unique combination of white buildings backed by the Hajar mountains. On the other, you can view the picturesque Oman port and harbor.

The Royal Opera House 

The royal opera house is one of Muscat's premium spots for music, art, and culture. It features an auditorium, landscaped garden, theatre, cultural markets, and an art center. Additionally, it can cater to almost 1100 people together and is known to be an excellent place for learning, inspiration, and entertainment. 

The Royal opera house was built under the instruction of Sultan Qaboos of Oman in 2001 as he was known to be an art and culture fanatic. Yeti beach

The museum consists of the Zubair family’s finest collection of ancient artifacts, including weapons, kanjiras, jewelry, and household items. These items are known to be one of the most exquisite privately owned collections that offer a remarkable insight into the Arab culture.
